The Coming Storm (part two coming soon)

The Coming Storm
It was a fine summer day when Aliza and her friend Ellie were in the cornfields helping Ellie's grandmother harvest some of the corn for tonight's special family meet up. It had been sunny all day and only the slightest gust of wind came upon Ellie's face. The corn was golden and juicy just ready to be harvested.

But just as the evening had come after they had set up the dinner, Aliza and Ellie went outside to the fish pond, to feed the fish and clean their water. That's when as they stepped out of the door it suddenly got cold, of course, they didn't think anything about it, it was just a sudden change of weather. So they continued to approach the fish pond. But the clouds got darker and darker as they set up and prepared for dinner. That's when it started to rain. Even the wind had come out of nowhere.

Ellie was disappointed that they wouldn't be able to play outside because of the weather. She was really looking forward to hanging out with her cousins and her best friend. Aliza helped in the kitchen with the food and Ellie set up the dinner table with her grandmother's best and finest plates and cups. With the finishing touch of some flowers form their very own garden. It all looked wonderful. And had been done just in time.

The rest of Ellie's family had arrived; all six of them squished into one car, tumbling out the doors. Ellie had always had quite a big family with lots of aunts and uncles, plus many cousins.
Aliza didn't seem to mind having Ellie's family over since they were all pretty close. Plus Aliza had met them all before.

They all gathered up inside and took a seat in the lounge. The kids including Ellie and Aliza went upstairs into the mini lounge they had upstairs. It was by far way cooler than the downstairs lounge. It had a big tv and loads of games. And the couch was covered in sheepskins which were warm and fluffy.

It was nearly time for dinner as Aliza went downstairs to gather some movies for them to watch after dinner. The movies were placed on a window sill in the spare room. EllieÅ› grandmother had closed all the curtains because it was night time. So Aliza opened the curtain to gather up the movies. But when she looked out the window at the cornfeildÅ›, she knew that this was no ordinary storm…

  3. What a great story, I can't wait to read the second part of the story to see what happens in the storm. It was well paragraphed with a variety of descriptions happening within the story.
